How great is this? Viewed it at a small showing at OCAD, definitely worth a look-see.
Anyways, summer is fast approaching and on the topic of portraits.. I’m going to get started on a series of portraits I’ve always wanted to do. Who wants to offer their face up for me?

Transfers galore

Experimented with transfers(basically transferring a photocopied image onto a surface) recently and I love it! Definitely a technique I plan to use/explore more as I finish my years at OCAD.
Up above, the first image was just for fun.. the second image was another vinyl cover design I had to do for a project I mentioned in a previous post *this is where you scroll down*.

Fun fact: just took in the fact that I have to sit through 6 hours of class drawing/painting nude models a week.. :/

So, I was given a project to design a vinyl cover for any band/singer and I chose Incubus… because Brandon Boyd is awesome. Thought it was fitting to incorporate his drawing style(click me) as part of it… so here it is. I quite like it. 

Bucketlisted

So, I was looking back on some of the pieces I’ve done for people as requests.. and they always turn out to be some of my best work. I think it’s about time I get back into that.
EXCEPT, it has to be a request from someone I don’t know(which I’ve never done). Thought it would be a nice change-up from doing pieces for friends who know me and are happy with anything I give them(which I’m super grateful for by the way)
Not sure how this is going to happen just yet. But hoping mostly, for something refreshing and new to partake in… get out of the repetitiveness that is OCAD projects, possibly turn this into a future OCAD project for my latter years there? Perhaps.

A painting, a drawing.. anything? Any takers? Any suggestions as to who?
